A Milestone Achieved: NCVET Signs Agreement with HireMee, Accrediting as Assessment Agency

Talent assessment and technology platform HireMee has attained recognition from the National Council of Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) as an assessment agency.

The acknowledgment from NCVET, a quality standards regulator for Vocational Education and Training, permits the Bengaluru-headquartered social enterprise, established seven years ago, to evaluate candidates on NSQF-aligned qualifications approved by NCVET.

An agreement signing ceremony witnessed the presence of NCVET’s Chairperson Dr. Nirmaljeet Singh Kalsi, Executive Member Dr. Vinita Aggarwal, Secretary and Director Col. Santhosh Kumar, and Director (Recognition) Col. Gunjan Chowdhary, along with HireMee’s Senior VP and Head Venkatraman Umakanth, last week.

HireMee will assess individuals who have completed programs offered by any NCVET-recognized awarding body and NSQF-aligned and authorized qualifications under government-funded schemes as a result of this recognition by the NCVET.

The 5 million people engaged in powering the $250 billion strong Indian IT-ITES industry need to continuously train in emerging technologies to stay relevant. As an NCVET-accredited assessment agency HireMee is geared to meet the assessment needs of the industry," says HireMee’s Venkatraman Umakanth.

This acknowledgment comes after a rigorous evaluation of HireMee's abilities to provide HireMee AI proctored assessments in a variety of IT and non-IT domains, as well as its comprehension of NCVET regulations and the interdisciplinary team at HireMee's dedication to adhering to them.

The HireMee assessment platform has administered close to 3 million assessments and is extensively utilized by academic institutions, business organizations, and corporates in India, the Middle East, and the USA for talent acquisition and management. HireMee offers a comprehensive employability test incorporating aptitude, psychometry, and domain skills at no cost.

Since its launch, the HireMee platform has collaborated closely with over 2000 enterprises, nearly 7000 AICTE-accredited colleges, the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment's National Career Service, the Tamil Nadu government's upskilling initiative Naan Mudhalvan, the Karnataka government's Digital Economy Mission, and others.

Over 690,000 students have benefited from the HireMee platform by getting free assessments, and over 260,000 students have had the chance to interview with different companies. Students from Tier-3 and Tier-4 cities received over 57% of the job possibilities, with nearly half of them being female candidates.

By helping employers discover young men and women for employment based on their assessment score HireMee aspires to make youth ‘Atmanirbhar’", says Venkatraman.
